contest over Brexit, it is Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour Party, which offers a real political
alternative including wide-ranging plans for renationalizing key services such

With a bit more than three weeks to go
until the general elections on 12 December, the Labour Party trails the
Conservatives in the polls. As two years ago, many election observers write off
the party’s chances to form the next government. To what extent are these
assessments based on developments on the ground?
